The John Warner School
Stansted Road
Hoddesdon
Hertfordshire
The present John Warner school was built in 1951 and adopted the name of John
Warner a Quaker, in 1968 in recognition of the major contribution made by him
to the development of education in Hoddesdon.
Bryant Harvey Partnership was selected to prepare a long term school development
plan, out of which came the need for a new open learning centre. The new centre
was modelled from the old library and adjacent teaching areas by demolishing
the existing walls and creating a large open plan space with full height glass
walls and Scandinavian furniture.
