The new Sports Centre is the third project designed to accommodate an increase in pupil places and to improve the facilities at Hinchley Wood School. The new building provides independent sports and dining facilities on the site of the former kitchen and dining room, which were accommodated in horsa huts. Funded to provide facilities for both the adjacent Primary School and the public, the building includes a fitness suite and dance studio and is used for private functions at the weekend.
The steel frame with it's crisp and colourful cladding encloses a high quality internal fit out providing a robust and attractive environment for both school and public users within a constrained budget.
