Bryant Harvey Partnership has been working with Essex County Council for the past two years, carrying out a study of the use of pre-fabricated buildings for Primary Schools. As part of this study Essex commissioned a "pilot" scheme to design and build several class bases and halls at a number of Primary Schools
The first phase is on site and nearing completion. All buildings are manufactured in the factory using highly sustainable building materials and techniques, foundations are by mini piles or pads and all site works are carried out whilst the building is in manufacture. The time spent on site is therefore considerably less than with traditional construction.
